Prepare Display for Return Shipment
Provided: Store to provide pallet(s). Shipping documents attached to Work Order.
Tools Required: Pliers, box cutter.
Materials to Source: Stretch Wrap, Zip Ties, Packaging Tape.
Preparation
1: Print the shipping documents that are attached to your Field Nation work order. You should have one Bill of Lading (BOL) and a FedEx shipping for each unit being returned. All can be printed on standard 8.5 x 11 paper. Your work order will specify how many units are being prepared for a return shipment.
2: Source the materials needed. You will be reimbursed for these materials through the work order. The links provided below are examples for Home Depot, but you can source from wherever you’d like.
Stretch Wrap: 15 in. x 1000 ft. Stretch Wrap. Any heavy duty stretch wrap works, will need about 150’ per unit.
Zip Ties: 11” Zip Ties. Need 6 zip ties per unit, at least 10” long.
Packaging Tape: Any packaging tape works to attach the shipping documents to the unit.
On Site
3: Check-in with the store manager on duty. Let them know you’re there to prepare the PrimoWater displays for freight shipments back to PrimoWater. The store must provide you a pallet (standard 40”x48”) for each display to be returned, which will be found in their receiving area. Ask the manager for the pallet(s) and a pallet jack to use.
4: Using a pallet jack, grab a pallet and take it to the display that is being returned. This could be along the front wall, outside (Return Centers) or the store already placed it in their back receiving area.
5: For displays, attach a zip tie to the sides of each shelf (6 in total). Slip the zip tie around between the frame and the outer signage so that the shelf is secured to the frame. For a Return Center, there’s no shelves, so only 1 zip tie is needed to secure the power cord from the printer to frame. Wrap up the cord and attach it so it’s secure inside the unit.
If there happens to be any 5-gallon water jugs still on the display or inside a Return Center, remove them and set them aside. Do not leave these within the unit.
6: Remove any header at the top of the display using pliers. It’s easiest to break off the back of the plastic clips with pliers, then remove the push-in clip. Place the header inside the display on a shelf. Return Centers don’t have headers.
7: Using stretch wrap, wrap the entire display from top to bottom. Double wrap it so that it’s fully secure.
8: Using packaging tape, securely attach the printed FedEx shipping label to the outside of the wrap.
9: Load the display onto the pallet.
10: Using the pallet jack, bring the palleted display to the store’s receiving area. Ask the manager where they want it to be stored while awaiting the freight pickup. Give the manager the printed Bill of Lading (BOL) document.
11: Repeat 4-10 for each Display/Return Center that is being prepped for return.
12. Complete your Verification Form in FastField mobile app (Apple or Android). Your username and password can be found in Field Nation under the Buyer’s Custom Fields.
Choose “Basic BreakFix” within the form and take a photo of each display after it has been prepped for return shipment.
